After having a dream about inexepensive, highly articulated versions of G1 TFs, and being crushed when I woke up to reality, I decided to try building my own little Wheeljack. This is my first attempt at scratchbuilding, and I have no idea how it's going to turn out.
I currently have most of a foot, with the ankle joint roughed out. (yes, he'll have side to side ankle movement) It's going to be larger than it was in my dream, but still fairly small.

Thanks guys. I'm currently woking out just how much leg I'll be able to give him. I'm really trying to stay away from telescoping joints, but the part of the car becoming the torso is really my limiting factor. His hips are already going to be up at his shoulders, in car mode. I'm going to give him a fold out pelvis, that'll kind of work the oppostite of Cybertron Shortround.
The wheels are from a couple of old TCR cars. (slot cars' retarded cousins)

I nearly cried myself back to sleep. Especially, since in my dream they were fairly small, and I love small toy robots.

I remember years ago (in the G2 era) having a dream where I was wandering the shops and found all these really cool TFs labelled Generation 5.
Unfortunately when I woke up, not only were the toys not there, I couldn't remember anything about them to actually design 'em! D'oh!

Not bad at all! Best part is, as WJ, you won't even have to paint him. Cant wait to see the rest.

Durring BW, expecially later on after I learned about G1 and such, I kept having crazy dreams. Mini BW toys. A tiny WSTF Rampage. Little Rattraps with the Axalon playset. All the show characters shrunk down to Basic size. ect ect It was so painful every time I woke up, because for those few short moments, I was truly blissfully happy.

I know what you mean about dreaming of minisized playsets. When I was a kid my mum would drag me to church every sunday and I would imagineam of a set small enough to smugle in so that I could play in church!
off topic for a second... BillyBadAss - who's jugs are they in your avatar, they look nice

Wow, this has gone off topic, from the topic it went off to.

Anyway, I'm cheating with the pelvis and thighs. I've swiped the ones off one of my LOC Starscreams. Screamer's not happy. These will probably be the only ball joints in the thing. I plan to make the shoulders similar to Bendy Prime's. They'll be easier to make slide.
I have both feet, mostly finished. They just need some final trim added. That'll come later, when I'm sure I'll be using the shin cover scheme I've got started.

Thanks, TFM. I just spit all over my keyboard.
How ironic it is that I was drinking milk at the time.

Someone emailed me about my avatar - who was it???
The breasts belong to Bianca Beauchamp.
She was a booth-babe at this year's E3 - big videogame convention - which I got the pic from.
Apologies to Greyryder for getting this thread off-topic..
Maybe I should change my avatar..
This is the second time this has happened..!

I believe Greyryder was refering to the person in Billy's sig file as being the angry cat girl.
Also, I believe those hips on Wheeljack are from Legends of Cybertron Starscream.

Wow that's looking amazing Greyrider. That's a most ingenious design how you have the pelvis joints swing the torso all the way around so it fits between the shins in car mode. You should patent that s@#!t
