its pretty cool.. but to me .. there is just something about the paint that throws it off for me...

I can tell you exactly what the problem is. Bludgeon isn't red, he's more of a maroon. The red make it look too bright. It also kind of looks like there's too much gold in robot mode.

it's possible the blue from tracks just bled thru too much on the paint

Na, if that were true, it would have made the red look darker, not brighter.

personally i dont think that , that looks all that bad... yes i would like to see it a beetle.. but that isnt too shabby.
