A Prime Problem

After picking up my latest Alternator, Prime(for 17.99 at Target!) I've decided like several people here to turn him into Ironhide. However, I'm using a skids head because it looks more like Ironhide to me. Anyway, the socket for his head is WAY bigger than the one for prime, so I'm wondering if anyone has an easier fix for it other than following Reprolabels Nemmy to Trailbraker conversion?

Get some of the thick adhesive used to stick posters to walls. Cut two small pieces and put them on the interior sides of Skids' head. The head will stay on and be able to turn properly. :D

That's about the easiest imaginable way to do it. When there's less of a size difference, you can use clear nail polish to tighten joints. There are several other ways of making that head stay on right. Reprolabels gives you the true kitbasher method, but ultimately whatever works, works. That last is the good advice Hobbyist Prime gave me not long ago.

I still seem to be the only one who likes reversing Alt Prime so as to make the windshield the chest like with G1 Ironhide. Check the threads and you'll find several different variations of varying difficulty.

Thats a good idea, I have plenty of that tack stuff from when i used to put posters right on the wall. I think you might just be the only one here who prefers him with the windshield as his chest, but I understand where you're coming from. I'm a huge G1 fan myself and ultimately it was your mods to the shoulder that inspired me to keep the prime instead of selling him on ebay. I was repainting a skids into ironhide but after realized that hes smaller than all the other Alts I went with the prime since ironhide was one of the larger TF's, not to mention it fits ironhides personality better than a small van
