Well, I'm going to be making one regardless, but I don't have much practice with actually shaping styrene. The pictures are the basical front panelling with no sides put in just yet. I don't know if this'll be the final design I work with or not, so I wanted to run it by some of you guys to see if it worked all right...or if it was REALLY bad:

My primary worry is that it sticks out too much. I don't want to take off the engine from her chest, nor do I want to cut or kitbash this toy in ANY way. Whatever I decide to go with, it'll be a separate piece that doesn't store in car mode that simply slides in place.

Is this going well? Would another design work better?

Works for me. Given your perameters that is. Reminds me of G1 Jazz's chest. Needs some sides to it, but the over all shape looks pritty good.

It was a Botcon exclusive from a few years ago. It was a two pack of repainted Speedbreakers/Sideburns, with a femme head swapping out the old one.

OTFCC. Calling it a Botcon is an insult...

That was after the Hartmanns were "forced" out wasn't it? And before the new group took over the Botcon/Collectors club. 2003 I think.

Yeah, I keep forgetting that was right at the point when they got kicked out and Glen started running the thing. We won't say where.

I think the chest is too large. I would build something that only covers the sides, and maybe leaves the engine in the middle.

The bitterness and ignorant speculation is so thick I can slice it with a butter knife. What does this have to do with the kitbash at all?

Not bitterness, I've never met the Hartmans and wasn't in the hobby at the time so honest they don't mean alot to me. However everything I've heard has claimed they were basically forced out of the company that they started. The truth of that I don't know. And it was simply a response to TFmaster and telling Asphault where the figure was from.

As for the bash. I personally think the chest peice there is too big, not sure how to make it smaller though.

Yeah, that's my issue. How do I make it smaller without taking the engine off--which I really don't want to have to do.

I have two more side panels to make, and it'll be done. So I might as well finish it and paint--see how it comes out. If not, I'll try another approach.

I already suggested an approach to that. build it on her front but only on the sides of the engine, leaving the engine exposed in the middle. or partially covering it towards the middle, sort of like she's wearing a bra over her engine. *revs engine* I'd try to draw something but my tablet keeps failing on me and I don't know why.

Well, I wasn't singling you out. Yeah, too many people speak in ignorance. I really think they shouldn't.

I like the idea of working just the sides, but I actually want a full panel over the front of the engine. I'll see what I end up coming up with.
