I've got several WP in various stages of development sitting in all the boxes that I haven't unpacked since I moved, but this guy is my the one I plan on finishing first so I thought I'd throw up a quick pic of where he's going.

Basically an Energon Broadside with several parts swapped in from Quickstrike, a new head, modded the wings and the guns so they will be removable hand guns instead of those strange hip blaster things. New hea needs some modding to fit and to make it look different from its donating host:)

He still needs to be painted as well, going to replace all the light green with a darker green to match the dark green already on the canopy. Then I'm going to add some more silver accents. The few red parts that transfered over from quickstrike are probably going to get a black dye bath or a coat of black paint, not sure which yet.

Might add some camo striping over him as well, not sure on that yet, have to see how he looks in the dark green first.

The character is basically a recon and SAR bot. Provides transport and cover fire to get others in and out of areas quickly and quietly.

ideas/suggestions:
green, green, black, and some silver and blue is kind of a dull scheme. maybe add more blue. maybe some turquoise or something in that range which is in between green and blue. maybe some brown or mustardy dark yellow. (like the color of the new head he's got) Low-saturation colors and subtle schemes are nice, but I think they're nicer when there's something to make it pop. it doesn't have to be camo-ruining, but how many bots really need camo in robot mode? a whole line of robots in camo colors would be dull... eh, I'm overstating my point. not sure how best to phrase it.

Well the character himself is kind of a spec ops kinda character, which is why I'm shying away from bright colors. I understand your point though. The helicopter mode I want in low vis colors. But I would like a little more color on the bot mode.

which is extremely hard to do with his transformation...just about all the vivid color you can bring to his robobt mode that's not in his alt mode is the head.

ah well. whatever. maybe the translucent blue and silver will be enough to make it interesting.
I mean, my G1 Bruticus is pretty dull... although his limbs are different shades of green, not all identical. still... 5 members all mostly green.
