Hello all :) . This is a custom Skyfire that I made from Skyblast a long time ago. I figured I would show it mainly to help me get off of my butt and redo the thing. It is a parts former mainly. I would like to take another try at it sometime soon to make the parts stay on this time around and repaint the thing...anyhow, please let me know what you all think about it :) . Thanks.

Wow  !!! I'm glad that you all like my skyfire! I was really expecting for it to get shunned to tell you the truth, since the craftmanship is not up to par. Thanks :D ! Like I said, this is one of my earlier bashes and was made before I had gotten a dremmel tool.

To answer some of your questions, yes on the taking parts off to transform him. They are plugged in by nails to hold them on. The Head is Skyblasts still, I just chopped off the cockpit and ear antenna and then added a couple of layers of thin plastic to make him a new ear. The new cockpit was made out of those fake credit cards that get sent in the mail and odds and ends scrap parts. The wings are half skyblasts and half robotech (small one from the 80's), and his backpack is a saxaphone lighter stand base that seemed to fit just right. The hands are gundam. I thought I was going to have to go get stitches from cutting myself real deep with the exacto while I was making him. Funny how a person can remember things like that....

Thanks for the compliments everyone :D , Reece.

Oh, and Ptitvite, I really liked how your Swoop turned out. I've got pic's of it saved on my computer now. Great job on the wings mod!!! :D

gatta go, babies awake now.

Yeah, that does look pretty nice! I think the fake credit card is really cool. I collect them so I can maybe use them in kitbashing someday. As for the nail idea, yikes! I guess it's not much worse than using pins though.

That looks awesome! and considering the size it is really good work!

P.S. I'm digging the Betty Boop starscape for a backdrop! 8)

This is really cool - even if it weren't an early bash.
He he. I've been collecting cards too - store loyalty cards, phone top-up cards, all that sort of thing - although I've still not found a use for them yet.
I have no idea how you'd get the parts to stay on with new version, considering where they'd have to move to and from, but good luck trying anyway. A little suggestion: maybe it might be good to fill out the feet a little more on the new one? The only thing about this that niggles at all is the Nightcrawler/Ninja Turtle toes. Maybe you could fill in the gaps without losing the guns.
