why don't you use bonecrusher for swindle. Just tear off the shovel and cab, maybe use some parts from cybertron hardtop to finish him off. I'd be much nicer to see all four limbs from different molds.

Actually I had decided to leave Swindle as is because it just kind of made more sense to have a small tank brigade rather than having a Jeep like buggy which offers little to no armament. Besides that I wanted to use the same foot for each side as well as the same hand on each side. It's bad enough that his right arm is about 1/8" shorter than his left due to the way I attatched the hand to it since the Bruticus hand wouldn't fit into the spots provided on his feet. I kind of doubt that the Bonecrusher mold fits the foot. I'll check when I get Classics Devastator and maybe revisit this project if it does.

I did some extensive minor modding to the Bruticus chest inorder to make it work. To include designing a link up that connected into both of the shoulders of Onslaught side fits into the energon star port, and one on the other side that fits over the minicon port. The link up is actually a plate that I had planned on building into a Chestplate but I decided to go with an official one which I got for $6 including S/H.

My next project will require alittle more modding of a couple of these molds. I plan on taking the Barricade mold, and rebuilding it into Motormaster (basically just adding a trailer to his legs, and painting), then I'll take four of the tanks and modify them into cars to make the Stunticons which will form Menasor. I already have a spare Barricade, and one tank so now I just need to find 3 more really cheap.

Also the blue green on E Barricade is the same color as they used on G1 Onslaught. At least acording to all of the pics I found of him it is.

Not bad, but I have to agree with Jim, Swindle needs to be a Jeep of some form. I was in the Army, and vehicles like Jeeps and Humvees are a necessity out in the field. It is vehicles like them that function as communications rigs, ambulances, and other support roles, and that is what Swidle’s job is. He’s the logistical support mech— the “supply sergeant”, not a front-line heavy-hitter like Brawl. That is why Swindle needs to be a four-wheel-drive “Jeep”.

What if I made Swindle out of the curent tank figure but gave him 4x4 wheels, and either a Humvee or CD Hotshot type body?

I could see him as a Humvee, I think that would work well. And thats not actually a Tank. Its a mobile anti aircraft unit. The mold is based off the Russian 2S6 Tunguska. Look it up, its pretty much a perfect match. Its got 30mm cannons which though I suppose you could use them on ground based targets are designed to shoot low flying aircraft, and then of course several SAM batteries to deal with higher flying targets.

oh, and love the paint jobs you have on Vortex and Blast Off, very nice work.

Thanks to a tip from Ramrider about the extra poseability of the stealth jets for Superion I went and did a little experimenting with the helicopter arm for Bruticus and the results were surprisingly good.





I'm still not done with Swindle. I need to get some desert camo tan. Since I took a look on tfu.info and found that he was actually tan not yellow as everyone seems to think he was.

Nice one - glad you liked the tip. I don't know if you noticed, but one thing I did with the stealthers I showed was twisting the wing of the leg that formed the arm (so it pointed toward the 'wrist'), and adding the gun and mount to the side; this not only gives it an extra weapon, but also helps provide a little apparent bulk (that is, it's not really any chunkier, but kind of looks it). Since you're no longer using the helicopter guns as hands, you might want to try something like that.

Also, Swindle wasn't really tan, so much as a kind of brown ochre...

Thanks for the tip Rr. You're right since I don't need to use the hands he came with anymore I can use the original weapons.

Those were just temporary I now have a set of yet to be painted Alt Smokescreen hands in there like the ones I used for Superion. I need to get a few more junker Alts for the hands for Devastator, Defensor, and Menasor. I wonder if anyone here has some Alt hands they don't need. Not to mention a set of either MP Prime, or Unicron hands for my larger combiner I have planned. Anyone want to wager a guess who that one will be?

You mean it looks like Superion is waving Starscream around right? Check back in a couple of days and see the next rematch when Bruticus gets his new weapon.
