After completing about seven custom Alts in four weeks, I was afraid I was going to run out of ideas once I reached the end. Nope!

Started looking at the GT mold with a kitbasher's eye for the first time. I noticed this area just behind the shoulder marked with a red circle. If that could be sanded away, the arm could fold all the way back and the car sides could hang down instead of out to the back.

Basically, they would look like wings folded down, and could still flay up and outwards.

Has anyone tried to modify the arms on the GT like that? I'm not sure if it would affect the car mode. Even if it did, the unaltered arms still resemble wings folded down.

Painted purple, the mold could be complemented by a Ratbat persona, which is the other reason for my post - where could I get an appropriately sized bat head to work with?

Ideas or thoughts?

just a guess, but there are so many batman action figures out there, that I'm sure you could find something in that range.

The Alt Ravage mould might also work for a Ratbat conversion


but if you wanted to use the the GT i'd suggested a Mrk1 Ravage alt head filed down appropriately would work

Thats not a bad idea, adding some big old bat ears, and the mouth on a panther head is not far off. Wonder if there are any Voltron lion heads that would work by the same thought.

not sure how you could use the ratbat WW version as that dosent have Wings If you Want wings use Sonar from the BW Series.

I have been planning a GT version of ratbat for a couple of months. I intend to use a visor from Jazz...scratchbuild a little face plate...and with some gold accents in the right places it should look pretty strong. The mirage head even has ear like structures on the sides.

Yeah, after looking up WW Ratbat, Alt. Mirage's head + Meister visor and the right colors just might work nicely.

It'd be a mish-mash of War Within and G1 - one has a mouth, the other a face plate; one has wings, the other doesn't, etc.

BBTS has Mirages on preorder for $24, so I earmarked one of those. This should be a fun project. Thanks guys
