Now I hope to be able to give him a better hand for the crain arm that is more similar to the 3 fingered claw that his loader arm has, and a sixth member who will be piggy backing. The only other things I plan to do is give him a G1 head, and chest plate and then rebuild the E loader into a bulldozer using the tank treads from one of my tank limbs that will need to have them removed anyway, and redoing the green E crain into a cement mixer finished up with the other green limbs and stiffer core from Walmart exclusive Cl Devastator. The weight test is done and was a complete success.

Here I go again Cl combiner #3 and #'s 1, & 2 aren't even quite done yet. Since I'm going to be redoing the yellow and tan loader into a military communications vehicle and finish up the paint apps on my Superion.

I'm liking the idea, but I've gotta say it looks like Demolishor/Long Haul is hanging on for dear life there! But you say it balances fine? Be interesting to see how this works out.

This was just the weight test to see if he'll still be able to stand with Long Haul on his back. When I actually attach him Long Haul's front bumper energon star port will plug into Scavenger's stomach. This will cause Long Haul's center of gravity to be added to just behind Devastator's center of gravity. Of course I'll need to then give Scavenger a new Decepticon emblem since his will be drilled out but that is extremely minor.

When I do the Classics Dev thats coming out I plan on Finding a Actionmaster Dev and Using the Head (Front Piece) to replace the Current one (Judging by the AM Dev I have), I would have to Split the head appart it looks to be the right size to cover the gap by removing the original head. and one of the crains will be modded into a Cement mixer thanks to a K.O. Mixmaster
So far I have Hook, Scavenger (Main Body), Long Haul, Scrapper, And Mixmaster planed. As for Bonecrusher I haven't decieded But he might not make it to the new version...

Now so far I've just added the E Demolishor/ Longhaul but I plan to get another Cl Dev for the green limbs and kitbash one of the loaders into a bulldozer, and one of the cranes or the E green loader I have into a cement mixer. Here's how they look right now.

Right now I'm leaning towards the crane for Mixmaster with a cement mixer barrel off of a Tonka cement mixer on the crane arm.

Couldn't wait to get that ugly face off of my Devastator. So I did a little jump back over to my Devastator for this afternoon. Let me know what you guys think.

Either that or I'll take a this set of fists and build them into real hands or I'll take another sets of fists and rebuild them into real hands.

i like the idea alot, but the upper torso and arms looks too crowded and the legs look a bit thin, is there any way you can balance it out

when he adds the treds to one leg and the cement mixer part to the other I think it will fix it.

It looks better at different angles but as for the legs I'm turning the crane leg into a cement mixer so that should add a little more of a bulky appearance.

Love where you're going with this! I want to do something similar with mine. The G1 chest piece is a great idea. Gives off that original feel with an updated twist. I agree with the previous comment that the hands would look good if they were from an alt. Maybe lose the "claws" in Devastator mode. Keep up the good work!

Question for Ptitvite or Dev - Where did you get the hands for your custom Devastators? Would the scale work for this? Thanks

I considered several possible hands, but I ended up using RID Prime's super mode hands. The main reasons I chose them are they looked cool enough and they weren't wider than Devastator's power paks (forearms).

As for Mixmaster why not use a K.O. for parts in terms of the actual Vehicle mode (Drum and holding tower parts) it's what im planing to do as well as just wining a junker AM Devastator for his head

But i plan to do all my work on the CL Dev boxset version once i find it...
And as for the missing Con in the group as per a fanfic im writing one of them dies

Thus dev undergoes his CL upgrade

Meanie. Sure, I killed four for my fanfic, but you don't have to be so cheerful about it...

Asphalt wrote:can you give us a clear shot of how you got an elbow outa the bul dozer? I picked one of these up a a couple days ago and I have mine with two crane arms so that he can have elbows. I rotate the cranes straight up or straight forward depending if I want him to have mega cannons or not.
Fold the loader's legs out straight, and place the hook that was his tri claw hand between his lower legs and hook the open area that the rear side plates go into when it folds up over the loaders feet this holds the legs together. The hip joint acts as the pivot point for the elbow.

Looks good so far. Presumably you'll rigthe drum so it's attached at both ends - what have you got planned for that?
I like him... he's kind of a mini Cyb. Quickmix!

Actually I had planned on using the end piece that held it to the Tonka truck but it is just way too large to add to the legs or the arm. So I ended up deciding to just leave it as is. It is attached though to the same post that the crane arm was.
Da Tran Man wrote:I liek the idea with the Mixmaster. What did you use for the drum?
I used a small $5 or $6 Tonka cement mixer.

I think you might want a slightly smaller Mixer drum on him RodimusVTS. That thing is jsut to big for the size of the figure. But the way you connected would work even better with a more in scale drum.

I think I agree, at least for the way I am using it. In vehicle mode it fits great but its a bit large for my forearm cannon. While the way rodd is using his works fantastically for a leg, gives the skinny shin version some weight, but overpowers the individual bot a bit in bot mode. But since he is devastator how often will he be in individual bot mode.
I had thought of using the KO G1 drum however it was too small and I couldn't find one that was between that and this so I decided to go ahead with this on. Also I kind of like the huge cannon for his arm. Besides Quickmix's isn't too much bigger in body to arm cannon comparison. In fact I'm thinking about reversing his bodily transformation so that the cannon is his right arm like Quickmix. Only thing is I think the cockpit arm's hand has a visible thumb but I can't remember right now. Anyway I might try adding the treads to Bonecrusher tonight so wish me luck.

I put the treads on my Bonecrusher so now basically all I have left to do on him is build him a new set of hands, resculpt the different faces so they look like their G1 selves, then paint the parts that need to be painted.

Arm mode on Devastator:
