DAMN! What are you using on the seams? Is that putty or sculpey?

The thinner radius of that neck looks as though you will put clear plastic around the neck. That would be ace. :D

Looking fantastic Mench0y!

Jeez, that thing's gonna be huge!

I love the use of Gundam parts for the dino arms. Really makes you see the scale of this thing even WITHOUT the Grimlock comparison.

We used to have a hobby store in town that had styrene. But , lately I've been able to get it on ebay.

Awsome Grimlock. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished.

Personally, I've never used, touched, or even seen styrene before. So I don't even know where to start.

That's one way to put it...

I was wondering about the neck, same as JAF. I hadn't even considered the clear acrylic option, though...

Just for the record

-that is indeed WSTF Grimlock, sorry for the confusion
-He should be in scale with MP Optimus
-The neck is going to be the way it is. I can put clear styrene, but the problem is I still haven't figure out how to fill the gaps with a decent clear sculpting compound. Anyone know of any?
-Yes, I use Apoxie Sculpt on all my customs may it be Transformers or Action figures.

To answer your question about filling in any gaps in clear acrylic, you don't use a sculpting compound, you use clear 2-part epoxy resin; the same type you would use to glue things together. It works as a gap filler too.
