Much as I love Bumblebee, I've always felt (even before Dreamwave) that Goldbug was sort of the 'upgrade' version, and that getting rebuilt later as Bumblebee was a bit of a backward step. So I kind of felt obliged to re-upgrade my Bee into Goldbug.
Simple case, really, of repainting the outer hull of the car a golden yellow, followed by a metallic glaze. I also reworked his head by resculpting his face and jowls, and using hot glue to fabricate light piping and a new visor.

The lightpiping's not quite as effective as Hardshell's, but it still works...

And vehicle mode. I think I'll be leaving off the spoiler for Goldbug to increase the difference between the two. I'm in two minds, though, whether to fill in the gaps or to leave the spoiler as an optional add-on.

It would be cool if you left the hole to add on the spoiler. This idea may not be G1 but put "blasters" on the spoiler, then glue some sort of peg so when he transforms it is his weapon

I like the spoiler idea, TM, but I'm more tempted to find somewhere else to store a gun. I don't want to mount it on the spoiler as it'd then be far too conspicuous, and if I can't disguise the weapon in alt mode, I don't want it at all.

As for the Battlechargers, Doomtron, I wouldn't go that way myself. TFM's already done Runabout, and it looks pretty cool, but although the tf scheme is almost identical to the G1 guys, I don't think the vehicle mode fits their characters.
