Hope you like. He is a little smaller than a seeker. Some of you were wondering what the extra seeker /parts were in my "classics seekers" thread, here he is. Any questions feel free to ask.Well like the title says, this is my first semi-scratchbuild. Soundwave. The base is a classics seeker, the rest is styrene and tamiya putty. I plan to make a ravage and laserbeak cassetticons for him for now here are some pics of my progress. Please be gentle with the critiques, this is my first scratchbuild, and this was all done in about 8 hours.

Not bad so far. How are you going to handle the reverse articulation in the knees necessary for transformation?

Actually there is no need for it. You will see when all my glues and putties have dried. i will post loose alt. mode pics.

Actually its based on the soundwaves that I have. G1 reissue, titanium, cybertron and a few pics. Beings he is in the classics era, I can move about him freely because he is an updated version, while trying to keep identifiable parts.

Nice work! I was thinking of doing Soundwave using RID Heavy Load but I'll probably pick up an extra Starcream to do the job since I like the results using him.
Is he smaller than the seekers because the thrusters were removed?

Yes he is a smidgen smaller. But I prefer it that way. Kinda like the size shifting ordeal with G1. Looks cool in cybertron Megs hands. Might even be cooler in MP megs hand.

lol you need to change your signature... it's not working well... seems like one of the constructicon is humping devestator's leg ;)

Looks great specially since it looks better then Tit SW from what I see.

Only thing that bothers me is you used a Ramjet for that!!! How dare you!!!!?

I call dibs on the extra parts!!! (I.E. Head and wings)

JK

But really, if you don't want them I really could use them myself. :D

I like where you are going with this. What did you use for the speaker by the way? It looks a lot like a motel matchstick :D . Good job man.

Its actually styrene. I used a tool I bought from my hobby shop called a "scratcher", to make all the panel lines. The speakers, battery cover, and the shoulder placement (once that goes on)

You are making the cassette storage...Would the Kabaya cassettes fit in there? I saw on ebay wst cassettes...there are 2 sizes of Kabaya cassette kits. One is bigger than the actual G1 toy and the other is WST size.
Seller: blackgaine

Hey Anemis! Don't make fun of Devastator 'cause he's too small to even kick your Metroplex's ass!!!

That Soundwave is pretty awesome. I'm not crazy about being able to see the robot thighs in his alt mode, but overall he's one amazing Decepticon custom.

Anemis! How dare you insult one of the greatest Constructicon combining moments ever! I think it's an awesome signature! Also, Devastator only has one E! You made Devastator sad!

It funny actually. I have so many classics seeker parts its not funny. I don't even know how I got them all. I could probably make another four seekers with them.

And I got all teh ramjets at walmart. Got the lady in the middle of stocking the shelves

o.k. update. All I really have left is a few details. Other than that, I am happy with how he came out. The alt. mode is a loose trasnformation. (Don't want to screw up the paint, yet.)

Yeah, it is Soundblaster; the topic was started as Soundwave, but you can see he changed his mind pretty quickly...
