Been working on this guy for awhile. Took longer then I expected because work and such took my time away. But he's basically done now minus some stickers and perhaps one or two more paint apps.

Once my camera battery recharges I'll get some brighter pics with the stickers on. Critiques and comments are encouraged. let me know what your think.

That looks absolutely brilliant! And you're designing stickers for him too? I assume if you've got this far on the paintjob, you've already worked out how he transforms into his arm mode. Any chance of a glimpse (unless you want to hold that back for the Big Reveal)?

Its acutally pretty simply, though I'll throw a mock up when I post more pics. Unfortunately do time restraints he's also the only one I've gotten this far. The rest are in the idea phase with little acutal work done. Dead End's head is almsot complete. Motormaster is in pieces but haven't gotten much done. The other two are not even started. Life decided that jsut when I wanted to tackle something halfway complicated it needed to give me lots of other crap to do.
Hopefully in the next month or two I'll get around to doing the rest. I'm also working on a classics's Punch/Counter Punch from the C-Hotshot mold. That LoC version someone did a while back inspired me.

Yeah, heads nearly done, figure out how to do the chest spin, working out some other stuff before I go full bore into the rest of the mod though.

Very nice, the color scheme screams decepticon, I did not know he was that Yellow, I am used to seeing old faded versions of his toy, this looks very nice and vibrant what did you use?
What was the engine block from?

The engine block was taken from an old model kit I had. I've got a whole tackle box full of scrap parts, heads, arms, random bits, that I use for customs.
the paint is a mix of Krylon Fusion for the bulk of it. Then Testors acrylic for smaller parts and detail work. The Krylon goes on nice and smooth with easy, the hand painted parts were a pain, sanded him down really well to help avoid chipping as well as keep blue from bleeding through, then painted in thin layers, sanding out little bubbles and such as I went, a long process, but came out as smooth as I'm likely to get it. though getting much better with the hand painting.
Also the majority of the purple was dye work, except for his chest which was hand painted with a custom mix of testors to get a decent match to the dye.
Head got attacked with a dremel, files, and sandpaper then dyed as well. Had to use a red to get the purple, of course that turned his face pinkish, but I like the result. Trying to decide if I want to add red stripes on the sides/arms, or jsut leave them all yellow. Also attempting to make a Decepticon Racing sticker for him, though not having much luck. My skills in that area are somewhat lacking.

Lookin good so far

Do Classics Prime as Motormaster and then your gonna start the whole Stunticons line all over again

Well, I would use Cybertron Prime because he is more proportional to the others in terms of vehicle mode, and looks significantly different than Classics Prime. It also has pre-existing combiner points built in. To each his own.

Nice job. Do you plan on changing the front wheels so that there are four like the G1 character?

Nope, though about it, and I've got a scrap Mirage sitting around from an aborted earlier attempt at this. But really I think he looks fine the way he is. I'd have to radically alter the front end to get four wheels to look right on this mold, and I don't think its really worth it.

Thats not as bad a size difference as I thought it would have. I may have to go with a Cyb Prime for this. Course I have to find one first. All the stores in my area have sold out of them.

I like what you did with this guy!
He looks better in yellow.
And you plan on doing Menasor! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread!
Nice work!

Wow... if you
do wind up using Cyb Prime, he's
really dwarf mine! Not that my version's a midget by any means; he's still a fair way bigger than the Energon combiners.
Heh. Odd that you're looking at using a Cyb Prime and Classics limbs, and I'm using a Classics Prime and Cyb limbs...
