Cl Predaking!

This has been my secret finally project since I started building my combiners but I found most of the pieces real cheap (under $30 each) so I jumped on them and then noticed I had everything I needed well for the most part. So here is what I've done so far.

I'm going to use the spacing in the claws to build some fingers for him, and I'll have a thumb that will line up with the fingers in beast and single bot mode and then fold out into the thumb for Predaking.

Oo... I like this, it could be most interesting.
But I'm curious... what's with the blue Rhinox? :?

Just wondering, Are you making the BW Predaking in his new form using the Predacons from the Dawn Of Futures Past Comic? Because if you are, I suggest that you use E-Swoop for Divebomb and Cyb-Backstop for Headstrong. Because those forms would be good

Actually the one Rhinox will be Tantrum and the other one will be Headstrong. The one that is going to be Tantrum will be altered into a bull while the other one will be left alone aside from paint. The blue/purple Rhinox is the Fox Kids' edition. I'll worry about altering it into a bull once I get all of the combined issues like the feet, and hands out of the way.

As for using Backstop for Headstrong. I had thought about it and he is way too small. If he was the size I think he should have been then he'd of been perfect but they didn't see fit to have the animals even some what proportional. I mean Leobreaker, and Snarl are but then they throw us this tiny baby rhino and say hey look it's an old dude who teaches people how to fight. Backstop should have been a deluxe at the very least. So yes as GrimlockPrime108 stated that would make for a very lopsided figure.

I'm going to try and get at least a little more work done on him today hopefully his feet since the Rhinox leg's hips are starting to become a little loose under all the weight of the others.

I really don't think it should be too much of an issue. The build's not far off as it is. I think mostly all you'd need is to remove the horn weapon, add horns and mod the face.

No, no, he really shouldn't. 'Cause then you'd have to pay even more for a crap fig. I really don't see the appeal of him at all; he looks silly.

I'm working on scratch building the feet right now. They are going to be 1/2" thick, 2 1/16" wide, and 4 3/16" long including the barrels. So as tall as he was going to be compared to the E combiners originally, he's going to be even taller than them now.

Size comp. from the first pick I took about a week ago.

If they'd made him a deluxe they could have made him a better figure though. Trying to cram into the basic size screwed him. Not a fan of the figure but at a larger size he would have had more potential.

Exactly what I was thinking. If he was a deluxe then they could have given him more poseability and he wouldn't have been nearly so bad. Any who I think I have quite a ways to go on building these feet. I mean I just got done putting together the main attachment assembly that seemed like it took forever. I'm just taking a little break right now to let the attachment assembly dry. So maybe by 8:00 tonight I might be done. J/K it should be some time around 4:00 or 5:00 probably.

I've got so much on my plate, and I get inspiration and motivation so sporadically I doubt I'll be done my Menasor before May:) Really wish I could work as fast as some of you guys.

I'll have to get back to it tomorrow since my wife woke up too early and I had to stop working on him for a little while. I'll probably get back to work on him in the morning. Well hopefully.

Looking good so far. A couple of questions though. Why are the Rinox figures head down, and why are they facing sideways instead of forwards?

I chose head down for better uniformity in how they look. I posed the Rhinox I got from my son in allot of different positions before coming to this one. As for why I have them posed sideways it is due to the fact that I didn't want the legs to be too spread out to where his feet wouldn't sit flat unless he was standing in side of a right angle. Trust me the rhinos are way too wide sideways. I'll try to finish the other foot up tomorrow afternoon if not then. Then maybe Saturday night, Sunday morning but I kind of doubt it since this weekend will mostly be spent ripping out the top cabinets in my kitchen as we prepare to redo it. Oh how I can't wait to get this house fixed up so we can sell it and I can have a room for my TFs and my work area to work on my projects.

As for heavy believe me he IS.
