Hi
I wanted to remove the racing paint off of the Smokescreen Alternator, so he would be just blue, and was wondering if anybody had any tips, I tried a few chemicals but they either didn't work or caused damage
thanx

Try a mix of 1 part pine-sol (Or any generic PINE cleaner...MUST BE PINE CLEANER!) mixed with 8 to 10 parts water. This will make the pine cleaner gentle enough NOT to damage the plastic. After about 12 hours or so you will be able to practically peal the paint off. I usually use an old tooth brush and running water though. Goes a bit quicker.
I use this technique on pretty much all modeling I do. I just did this to a classics Bumblebee heads. Worked perfectly.

70%-90% isopropyl alcohol, (rubbing alcohol) found pretty much anywhere, and "q-tips" or a rag of some type, elbow grease and patience.
Hasn't failed me yet!

Denatured alcohol. Found in most hardware stores and even Wal-mart. Q-tips and/or paper towels and it doesn't take much elbow grease. You should be able to have the paint removed quickly without damaging the plastic.
