My version of alt tigatron is shaping up. Head is mostly done except for the eyes. Of course I forgot to check and make sure it would fit before hand. I think it should be ok once I carve around the neck post abit.

The other thing I could use opinions on is the overall colour scheme.

My 1st thought was to mist on white, then paint stripes.
Easiest would be just a solid white paintjob.
Then I started thinking a white over green camoflauge might look nice. But it might not suit the character. Not knowing how to do it doesn't really help either.

I think those tigerstripes are too heavy. But I definitely voted for the stripes versus camo or solid white.

I dunno... he's already got a beast head. plain would suck. I think anything between camo, stripes, or somewhere between would be fine.

I like the idea of the misted white ground. Then the black stripes would appear to fade as they reached the black lower sides of the vehicle.

When I did mine last fall, it was a combination of the mold being similar in design and transformation to the original and being able to get stripe stickers from Repro Labels. I'm sure Tigatron wasn't who they had in mind, but it worked well enough. He's simultaneously an Autobot and a Maximal according to the stickers, which I like.

Hopefully that'll give you some ideas.

Project got sidelined, but not forgotten. (Didn't think I'd get hooked by the movie bots ) Spent a few minutes doing a test on a scrap of cardboard.

Misting with Krylon turned out to be a lot easier than I expected. I've used mostly testors and tamiya sprays and I had a bit of trouble getting good control with either. Hard part now is just to get it all masked.

cool, looks really good, you got that "natural" stripes feel.
