Some of you may remember the custom Alpha Trion I did a while back, which can be found in the repaint gallery http://www.tfmaster.com/gallery_rp0056.php. Well, I decide to make a few upgrades to him yesterday, including a brand new, more accurate, head, as well as repainting the wings and his sword. I also fixed up his Key to Vector Sigma. Take a look and tell me what you think.

His new face kinda looks like he's skewing his eyebrows on one side. :> (just crooked, not to be confused with skewering)

I love the head. It's easily the best Alpha Trion head I've seen. I don't think I'd mind swapping out the convention version's head with that if you could cast it.

Yeh, his right eye does squint a little. There is nothing I could do about that. It is hand fabricated after all. However, I actually think it adds character to him. It adds to his "age" if you know what I mean.

As for the key, I have to take more pics yet for a new gallery submission, and there aren't any shots of it in the original gallery. I have made changes to it as well. What used to be recessed on the face originally, are now raised.

I wouldn't know how to cast it even if I wanted to. If you know how, you are welcome to come over and try, you don't live that far from me. As for the Botcon Alpha trion, other than the head and the clear parts, I'm not impressed with it. They got the color placements wrong in a lot of places, and too much white, too much violet on the torso, no grey or silver, and too little red. If I were you, I'd repaint the whole thing, or just use a Vector Prime.

Exactly. Finally someone else who agrees with me.They wouldn't need to use the metallics like I did, but they should have used this color scheme. All that violet and white on the Botcon exclusive is way too much. Though, I do wonder what they will call the "minicon" he comes with. I was never able to come up with a name for mine.

I just finished taking new gallery photos for when submissions open up again. I still have to go through them and edit them, but that'll wait until morning. I even took some shots next to his "brother", Vector Prime, one of the other "Original 13".

Here are a few sample shots from the new gallery set. Once submissions become open, I will submit the full set including bio card.

I love it! I agree with you though about the botcon version, I'm dissapointed in the color scheme. I'm still going to try and get one though because his face is much more like Alpha Trions than Vector Primes is. good job as always

Yeah, the head is one of the only things they did get right—that and the clear parts being purple. They could have done a much better job and they dropped the ball big time.

The key to Vector Sigma!!!

Yep. Now, what would be a real challenge is to design and build a model Vector Sigma that could be activated by a cyberplanet key/ the Key to Vector Sigma.

I've actually been planning to make a cyber planet vector sigma key that could actually activate a scratchbuilt VS.

Firsrt, you would need an Alpha Trion to go with the key.

The real trick to designing and building a Vector Sigma, which would need to be scratch built, is figuring out what kind of features it would have that would be activated by the key. They would almost certainly need to be electronic in nature, and that is where I fail at. The other obstacle is what it should look like. A big globe just doesn't cut it, even though that is what much of it was.
