I swapped the heads between Megatron and Grimlock. You've probably already seen my completed Classics Transmetal Megatron in the other thread. I've mostly completed the painting on my Transmetal Grimlock. Mostly because I'm considering doing a black wash. I call him "Transmetal" because there really wasn't much fleshy bits on the 10th anniversary Megatron. Anyways, hope you guys like him.

Very nice. I love the exposed gold bits under the grey of the face.
As for what to call it, I say screw the continuity, just call it Grimlock.

That's pretty awesome, I've been wondering what to do with this ugly Cybertron-repaint T-Rex Megatron, I may just have to try pulling something like this off myself.

Now that is one pretty head-swap repaint. Very clean paint apps.

It only took me over a year to get around to finishing my Swoop project that I started and mentioned here.
A lot has changed since that digibash. I redid the color scheme, and replaced his head with the much friendlier-looking regular Terrorsaur head. I think this may be the start of a trend of making G1 characters into Beast Wars characters. My next G1 to BW project will involve one of the car robots...
Hope you like Swoop.

Oh, I do. Good choice replacing the Terrorsaur head with Terrorsaur's(!), that fits so much better.
The only sticking point I have with this mould as Swoop, which I've been pondering myself, is the talons, which, like the face, I don't think suit Swoop's character. I was looking at a way of giving him normal fists, but mounting the claws to the backs or something, so they were still usable in beast mode.

But brilliant job, he really looks the part.

I'm not making Classics, just making G1 characters into BW characters. There aren't Transmetals I can use (that I know of), but there are regular triceratops, stegosaur and a plesiosaur that can be used for them. But for now, I'm going to concentrate on converting some non-dinobots to beasts.

Ah, but for someone like me who's main interest in Kitbashing is to expand his Classics collection, you just provided great inspiration!!

Who are the "regular triceratops, stegosaur and (brachiosaur?)" that can be used to make good Snarl, Slag and Sludge?

Cool, I'm glad I provided inspiration.

The regular (fleshy) dinosaurs I was referring to can be found at Seibertron. They are Guiledart (Triceratops) & Saberback (Stegosaur). There are also other dinosaurs (i.e. Bazooka, Killerpunch & Hardhead) that might make for good expansion of the troops.

Edit: LOL, hadn't even look at Seasaur's gallery to realize that Magmatron's components have no bot modes. :/

Only problem with Seasaur is it has no bot mode of its own. Its either Dino mode, or parts of the large bot mode. They don't really have any Long neck dino molds other then the original Sludge. Though you could probably use guildart with a modded neck and head from Seasaur to create a decent one.

I had considerd this back near the end of BW and the start of RID. There was a release of dinobots of the BW design. I bought the stegasaurus named striker. I was planning to grind and putty them to make them less organic looking. I was going to substitute the anklosaurus as Sledge , for Sludge. I never collected the others, My son did eventually give me his anklosaurus with the idea that we'll paint it to look like BB in the beginning of HOS.
