That's some inventive repainting there. Some were instantly recognisable, like Jetfire and Omega; others took a bit of thinking to identify. I actually figured was Sky Lynx was Silverbolt (obvious connection) till I saw the robot mode pics - That's a brilliant bit of re-engineering! I had trouble recognising Brawn and Cosmos till I saw the close-ups. I think Brawn's the only one out of all of them that I really think doesn't fit; maybe it's the mould in general, but I think it's more likely those claws that throw me off, as well as the dark head. I think if' the head and arms had been mid-grey or silver he'd be more recognisable.
Powerglide's got my curiosity going, though. How did you re-engineer Gunbarrel's wings to angle up like that?
Can't wait to see the Decepticons!

Thanks for the kind words everyone

!
Yeah, the arms for Brawn are from Scavenger of Beast Machines, good eye grimlockprime!
I had put them on that minicon quite a while ago for kicks and after I started painting these guys, when I got to that figure, I thought he might be able to pass off as brawn. Since Brawn is so strong for a little guy I went ahead and left the arms on so it would look like he could throw the big guys around a bit if wished.
For Powerglide's wings to be able to rotate up I took my dremmel and cut the wings off. I used a small round-headed nail and cut off the end length I needed, drilled appropriate holes into the wings and body, glued the long end of the nail into the wing, and hollowed out a ball hole so the ball end of the nail would be able to move around inside the body. (no offense Ramrider on the explanation, I know you do excellent work, I thought I would try and explain it for others if they wanted to try

)
Here's a picture so you can kind of see the nail between the wings.

Thanks again everyone!

Awesome work reece, the detail on them (as far as I can see from the photos) is exellent.
Brawn's new arms are a bit too big for him though I'm afraid.

These Mini-cons really are very cool. These are the kinds of things that if I saw them at a convention, I'd keep coming back to take a look at them. It's a very cool concept that has well-executed retooling and painting. There are a few spots that aren't quite perfect but considering the scale, I think the best possible job was done.

None taken; I
think I can see what you did. I actually only just realised that GB's wings aren't actually pinned on, so there's room in the body part of the hinge to drill a hole for the nail. Clever stuff.
I'd also like to add that I'm
really impressed by how clean those paintjobs are.

Ooh, some very nice repaints you've got there.
I've never been a fan of the minicons (actually, I really hate them), but these are very cool. Very good idea and well executed. Might need to pick up some mini-cons after all.
Good job.

I like all of them except the Brawn, sorry. Although my favorite ones are the Jetfire and Omega Supreme. Those look so cool. Just an thought after looking at your other gallery. I think you should take the gun turrent off of Beachcomber, but that's just me. I just saw his alt mode and starting thinking about his G1 personality. Great job there reece.

Thank's everyone for the kind words!!
These little things are pretty addictive when you have a go at them.
I'm hopeing to have some pic's up for all of you in probably a week on those decepticons. These are the ones that I am most proud of bashing since many of them have been retooled a bit

. I've got about as many decepticons done as I have autobots.
Thanks again!
