That's right ladies and gents. I present to you the one, the only, the awesome Decepticon from the great white north... FULCRUM!!!

He had a little issue with a little paint chipping.

Essentially finished, he just needs a little touching up and I need a Thor hammer.

That looks pretty cool. Actually, looking at that made me realise how close the F-15 is to an actual Fulcrum. If you got rid of the little probe things on the wings and vertical fins, rounded off the wingtips and ditched the trailing point, it'd be a lot closer. The only thing then would be how to get rid of most of the air intakes and get that more streamlined look that the Fulcrum has. It could probably be done, if you were up for it.

Actually, I already took care of the air intakes, but it's tricky getting them rounded off in jet mode while still having them in robot mode. Yeah, I've got a little work to do. That was actually very helpful, thanks!

I love the silver deco on the body coming from the air intakes. If you weren't looking to copy a look from a previously existing drawing, I would say do a similar pattern on his wings. Maybe you could put them on the backs of the wings, since those aren't as angled, and the molding detail has more square bits back there to borrow from and follow along with.

So are you going to give up the G1 robot mode for the sake of the vehicle mode, or try to find a compromise? If he's actually supposed to be that other jet, I don't see why you should stick with the G1 robot mode if it makes things so difficult. ...
hrm. you could... cut the air intake at an angle, and hinge it so it flips towards the cockpit area and makes that nice straight line. of course then it would look funny from the side, but maybe you could modify it a bit to work... let me draw a diagram.
edit: ok, done. wasn't sure how the side would look, so I just did a rough.
