Arise oh Autobot, now what to call you?

Another little teaser pic from a more minor custom I'm doing right now. Picked up a pair of KOs plus the Europe only Rescue force repaints of Lio Kaiser. Thus I have in my possession a complete set to make myself Lio Kaiser's Autobot cousin. However I need a name for him.

The figure up there started as a very bright lite blue, the other Jet KO will be staying in those colors, this guy I decided to try out a die I picked up, and really like the color I ended up with. The darker purplish red looks really good with the bright red. The dye distorted some of the parts slightly, so he's a little tighter now then I'd like, but he came out pretty well over all. Needs paint and stickers still of course.

So if anyone has a good suggestion for a name for the combined mode feel free to mention in. I'm sticking with the Rescue Force theme of the other officially released figures.

Damn - that's the bash I would've wanted to do fifteen years ago if I'd known about Liokaiser! I got the team when they came out, and noticed not long after that they combined into most of a gestalt - it wasn't till years later when I found out about the various Jap-only release TFs that I realised that the original team had six members, and there was a combined form for them!

He looks good so far. As for a name... have you given names to the original four yet? I've come up with Cleansweep or possibly Pathfinder for the Killbison repaint, and Subway for Drillhorn. The others I'm not sure about yet.

The individual bots have names, trying to come up with one for the combined form mostly.

So what have you come up with? It might help as inspiration for the gestalt one.

Hellbat is now Firehawk (which is a firefighting helo, but what the heck)

Gaihawk is now Beacon (like a locater/alert beacon set off when a plane/boat crashes)

Leozack has become Evac (he's team leader and the fastest when it comes to getting people to safety/medical care)

Jaruga is the one I've named Pathfinder actually do to the ATV look

Rescue Killbison is now Lifelock (as in the Jaws of Life tools used to cut people out of wrecked cars as well as for his position as team mechanic/medic)

Drillhorn I've named Tunnel Buster

The group as a whole have a job similiar to say Defensor, they protect and rescue humans, other Transformers, or any other peaceful beings that the Decepticons may attack. Though capable of full combat its not where they excel and not the area that they focus on.

Hmm. Good names... the only one I'm not sure about (rather in terms of your interpretation of it, rather than the quality of the name) is Lifelock - I thought of Pathfinder because the mechanical arms give the impression of big lifters, clearing roads and pulling heavy items (trees and fallen building bits etc) off trapped people. And suchlike.

For the gestalt, since you're not averse to using names from other gens, how about Safeguard? Or, after a quick thesaurus search, Bulwark or Bastion?

Hmmm... I like Safeguard and Bastion actually. I have this posted over in the club forums as well and going to see what ideas they throw out before I pick one.

And yeah I looked at Pathfinder for the Killbison mold, but really liked it better for the Jaruga mold. Your interpretation makes sense, but I prefer Lifelock for now.

Right now I'm looking at the following as the Gestalt name.

Bastion
Watchtower
Safeguard

Lets hear a vote my fellow TF fans. If I'm lucky I'll have a head for him by early next week, I'll be doing last minute paint and sticker work this weekend and he'll be ready for a little photo shoot by middle of next week.

I liked Bastion as soon as I thought of it.
