I'm just about finished with breakdown. Well he still needs some touchup, and I kinda painted his automorph into inoperability. (A few other spots don't quite fit back together either.)

Rest of the team is planned out, but I have a few other things to finish up before I start on them.

Where is his other arm? Paint looks nice, white is such a pain but that looks very smooth. Though the area around the windows needs some touch ups. Breakdown was always more a light tan or cream color though. That white looks a little bright for him.

I thought the toon version was pretty white? I figured most of the off-white ones I've seen have yellowed with age.
The other arm blocks the screw that holds his torso together. Just wanted to see how tight his chest ended up before completely reasembling him. I should have planned ahead a bit more. I sorta just took him apart and went at it. :)

Well, I was this close. Decided to go with the soldering iron to put the roof pin back in, and I ended up cracking the hinge. Was a bit of a hard spot to tap, but I should have just kept at it. Hopefully I can fix him up alright.

Thanks skull, I apreciate it.
Probably gonna tackle Wildrider next. Dead End will have to wait till someone comes up with a good Jazz hand mod. Trying to juggle this with the combaticons. And Tigatron's been waiting more than a month for his paint job.

Couple of quick digis,
Motormaster

And Jazz as Dead End

I'm also looking at a way to make his doors into arms.

But I just don't know, are those platic pins, or just caps over a pin or screw? There's not a whole lot of space either to attach the socket I want to use.

Sorry... everyone seems to be talking about Jazz hands at the mo, and it puts me in the giggles...

Nice work on these guys. Motormaster makes it even more obvious that someone should turn that mould into Clench (Colossus).

Yeah its a tiny little thing, barely as big as the other deluxes.

Here it is with the new paintjob. Went with the original toy colours on this one.

I'm thinking about maybe losing the black stripes. Still deciding what to do with the arms and legs as well.

And a wildrider digi

I'm still not sure if I just want to paint his existing fingers or glue the bumpers to his heels and give him new ones.

Very good so far. IMO I would cut the bumpers and glue them to the feet, so it can give it a hand shape instead of blocky hand shape

Carved Motormaster a mouth and laid down a coat of black. Looking at some colour schemes ideas now.

Looks Great! I was wondering when this was going to happen. Combaticons seemed obvious, surprising that ideas for stunticons are just comming to light. I was looking at a Payload gallery and was wondering how he would look as Motormaster. I then considered bb also for Dragstrip, then Jazz for Deadend, Barricade for Breakdown and for something different, Wildrider from Topkick. Wildrider's crazy and destructive, Deadend and classy, and Breakdown demands something with horsepower due to his engine noise being able to cause breakdowns. Payload looked like he was made for brute force. Thats the line up I had in mind, unfortunately funds are a little tight for toy hording and customizing right now.

I still have my G1 breakdown and he has always been cream colored. Cartoon -wise It could be like how something black is always a dark grey, i don't know though. I always thought the orange hood (or trunk lid since the engine was in back) was odd, for cartoon and original toy.

nice bashes dude, but you might wanna switch to something that's not imageshack, when i click it to enlarge it it just gives me a white screen, and i really can't see the best parts in a small window.

Don't know if imagevenue is much better than imageshack, but I'll give it a go.
Finished painting up Motormaster's head. It sits up a bit high now, but at least it ends up moved forward. (Forgot to take a pic of it in place)
Image

I was hoping to get a bit more done today, but I went and knicked my thumb with a knife again. :x I was close to finishing the leg connections when it happened. Jazz holds in place pretty well, but I need to work on the fit of the peice for Barricade. Added a bit of silly putty to hold him for the pics.
ImageImage
I've got the leg bots reversed to how I initially thought I would connect them. Lost their posability potential, but it made the connection simpler. Stability is pretty good, just hope the weight of the arms doesn't affect that too much. The arm connections might not be so easy, but I've got an idea or 2 to explore.

Couple of updates to dragstrip

Got inspired by the hood scoop on squal's hot shot. (and now I've got the shell for a movie style tracks to add to my ever increasing 'to do' list.)
