Finished him up today. Anyway, been working on him a week now and just had the head left. Took me a few days but got that looking decent today. just need to do some touchups here and there but otherwise, he's done and with his Autobot brothers.

For the vehicle mode, I decided to get rid of the doors. If he's a beach jeep, might as well go the full beach motif. So I superglued the rood hinge gaps in place so they look solid. I was thinking on adding some paint apps instead of solid blue but I couldn't think of anything to work. And I actually like this way. Also though about making his top beams silver but didn't think it would look good. I am however going to detail the seats. Partly to get rid of the blue mist that hit the driver seat, as you can see, but also to add something to it.

And bot mode, his only mod is some sanding on the head. Tried sculpting a cast from Swerve but it didn't take well. Also screwed up the paint on Swerve's head and had to repair that. (D'oh!) So I took Swindle's head and rounded it. Sanded the sides a bit to far and have some gaps but they are square and look more like intake valves. Might fill them in, probably won't I like it. makes it look better than a round head.

So there he is. And on to the next one tomorrow.

Beautifully done. A nice homage to beachcomber. Just stick a surfboard on the top if you've got one. If not a BBQ pit and a case in the back. That would really set him apart from the other jeeps! :D

you know, that's something I was toying with. I have the putty, just need to figure a way to hinge it on there.

Which, the surfboard or the BBQ?

If the latter, there's a way you can leave the feet folded out and mount it on that. I'll take a picture when I get home.
