I was able to find a way to modify the wing/body structures on the movie starscream/thundercracker mold. I think it is a great improvement. It is a fun mold and has interesting proportions but I like it better with a bit more "normal" build.

the mod doesn't affect the vehicle mode much.

critique and comments are welcome.

Looks like the wings fold in now, instead of up? Shoulders look like they sit up higher, closer to the head.
Slims him down a bit and looks pretty good. I'd think about painting the grey parts too, but I guess hasbro is to blame there as well.

Hey, that does look really cool. I don't want to "steal his thunder" so to speak, but one of the things he did was add a ball and socket joint to the wing root in jet mode, this let the other parts fold up better when transforming. I do know he would like to do some other mods, and if he can pull it off, this thing will look SOOOOO much better than the original.

The arms move up WAY further now,my complaint about movie screamer was the arms, this mod actually makes him look likable.
Awesome work dude

Yes, as J.T. said I added a ball and socket joint at the base of the wing to pivot the whole wing assembly toward the back so things folded up alot more. I am hoping to post a tutorial here soon but, I am not on much. I have some pictures of some of the steps I took in the off chance some body wanted to see.
The ball I used for the joint is a bright bllue and you can see it in both pictures so you may be able to get some idea of how I did this, if you are familiar with the figure.
