The Energon Pub

Wow, I ended up with 3 Energon Megatrons in trades this week! Galvatron was an obvious choice of custom (one of the Megs I'm keeping) of course and here he is, decked out in a 'Classics' theme I suppose. Actually it's almost straight G1 with the color scheme and setup where he turns into the Space Cannon for his alt mode. I added a balljoint to his neck and made two spots where the particle accelerator cannon attches to his arm (on the side for storage, then on the forearm so he can aim it straight). The barrel of the cannon itself is made from a gaint pen I found at Rite Aid and the mounting base is made from some bionicle/microman parts. Snap on the treads and he becomes the space-cannon, whee! I'll be gone until Wednesday (leaving tonight for family stuff) so if you have any questions I'll answer them when I return. Until then, enjoy Galvatron in all his G1 glory!

The whole shoulders look a tad odd with nothing on them. Also, isn't Galvatron traditionally more purple? Not a problem, just interesting.

I'm personal not a big fan of "vanishing" parts so I'd just like to see How "bad" he looks with 'em.

I agree with Primezimm. It actually looks ten times better with the treads on. It doesn't detract from it at all.

I think it looks better with the kibble. It looks like he's missing something without it. Besides, it's more accurate as the original toy had treads behind the arms and even the toon Galvy had some kibble back there.

There's a few smaller Energon Megs left on EBay. Look for the more yellow-green guns if it's loose too, sometimes the seller won't specify. The blue-green darker guns are the large version.

That is a brutal custom job you did there! I like how the space-cannon alt mode turned out. Just on question, though: what's the slag's the deal with that smaller robot on the last picture??
