Hey everyone, my ball joints arrived and I've finished the tutorial! This explains how to add a basic ball jointed neck to most Transformers. It's one of the more simple modifications in my opinion and can be done by just about anyone.

Jin's Ball Joint Neck Tutorial

Hope this helps, enjoy!

PS, I'll post more here when the forums are wider, it hurts my eyes trying to read things in such a small column and all the pictures get cut off here, argh!

Jin, you dog. I know your all about staying humble and not getting a big head and that's cool, but you deserve serious props for all of your helpful tutorials. You should be proud. You give kitbashers a good name and many of us, me included, are better thanks to you. Thank you. Are you going to Botcon this year. I wanna by you a beer or Shirley Temple or whatever you drink. There's a kitbasher contest there and I have no doubt you'd win. Please respond.

That was a great guide for people who've never kitbashed a neck before.

Nicely done! Is shipping reasonable from HLJ?

I live in California, so if someone I was to pull in an extra 3k to pay for plane tickets for myself and my wife, hotel fees, and rental car, then I'd go. Botcon moves all over the place tho, doesn't it? If it's ever in California or close by I'd make the drive.

Depends on the size of the stuff. Mine was only about $6 because all I had was 3 packs of ball joints and they fit in one of their envelopes. If you order full sized model kits it gets to be around $15. Gotta consider tho, it's coming from Japan and it's quality stuff.

Very nice tutorial. It goes to show that even a slight change can greatly improve a figure (if only we could give Armada Megatron or Tidalwave knees...)

Also, do you think any stores stateside would sell ball joints? I've got some really wierd case of bad luck when it comes to importing things.
