When I saw 3-D rendition on iaconcity I thought it was a really cool design so wanted to see if I can make one. This is based on Adam Alexander's fan character Botch the crab. You can read more about it here:

http://www.botchthecrab.com/about/botch.asp

It was harder to make this than I expected due to the small scale of it. It was difficult to try to get all 6 legs to fold up neatly in cassette mode. It didn't come out as clean as I would wanted it. Also, I am awaiting cassette stickers to be made for me so the front of the cassette mode looks plain at the moment.

Thats great!
I'd seen the artwork and WiP for this ages ago and completely forgotten about it since. It's nice to see it finished. Well done.

gah! I was working on this too! Though mine is being cut from a real cassette. I wish I could finish it, but I lack a good knife at the moment T . T

Still, looks really nice dude, better than mine's gonna turn out lol. Nice choice of colors too.

Justicity, it probably was another Botch build that you saw previously because this is the first time I've posted this and never posted WIP pics of the project. Or maybe you remember me posting WIP pics of my TWW Shockwave (which I'm still not done yet though).

Repair Bay, making this from an actual cassette would be very cool. But yeah, finding a tool to cut the tape up in nice pieces would be difficult. Were you planning on using a mini cassette (like the size of the G1 cassettes) or the regular size one?

This is some quality, innovative work - something like this is rarer than rocking horse **** these days. Bravo.

Microcassette, like G1. Soundwave is my favorite, so I have to keep it his size
