I thought the head sculpt for voyager SS looked absolutely horrible. The FAB SS head sculpt looked spot on w/ the movie. I used a FAB Ramjet head b/c it is casted in a more neutral color.

I wish I had taken a pic after I removed the paint w/ rubbing alcohol. There is so much detail to this mold that is lost to the factory paint.

The head swap was actually kinda complicated. FAB SS/RJ's head is on a ball joint where as SS is just a peg. I used the existing ball joint and small square base of plastic. Then chopped off the peg and dremeled out the size of the square base on voy. SS. I then used some 2-ton epoxy to glue the head down.

Finally a simple paint job. A black wash followed by silver dry brushing, and some gold detailing. I also dotted the "sculpted eyes" red and painted that little bar that crosses over them silver. Had to use the itty bitty brush for that .

You can't even tell it's off an FAB.
Do you intend to detail the rest of the figure as much as the head, cause that'd be awesome.
