Mirage Complete

Hey-oh,
welp, it's time for another autobot reshell. I've been holding off a little while waiting to see what hasbro had to offer this year. I figured one guy that probably won't be making a comeback was mirage. He's been the willing skeleton to my tracks and wheeljack in the past and I thought it was about time to give him his due. I've got most of him already plotted out and ready to go. I'll let you guys try to figure out where the head came from. ;) I would give you a hint but I don't want to be a spoilsport!

You are not Wheel_Jack. He would never make a character true to his mold. BLASPHEMY!
*ahem*
I'm liking the direction you're taking.
Especially the new shell. It's not chubbed like G1 mirage, and it's probably better in general.
And I see through you, the head is that of ultra Magnus! :P

Servo, it's putty not different from quick wood and quick plastic. this one takes like 8 minutes to harden. I use another that takes 3 too. I'll get the name for ya. nice to see you here.
ok here's a quick bot mode shot.
thanks guys.

Great work WJ it looks way better than the Classics/Henkei versions. When you reshell a figure like this does it make it a lot more fragile?

Thanks guys for the super nice words about mirage.

bcm77, yeah, the plastic on model kits is much softer than what we get from hasbro. this in and of itself makes the custom an inferior play thing. aesthetics and authenticity to the character is what I'm aiming for and then it sits on my shelf.

Rhinox, i try to go with a 1/32 scale when available. both mirage and my wheeljack were born out of 1/28 scale kits. I do way TOO MUCH research to see if a model kit was made and if it was in the "correct" scale. skids and cliffjumper (just to name a couple) will not get their proper due. I'll still make them one day but not in their original vehicles.

ok, kitbashers don't cry!
mirage is done folks.
