So, I've finally decided to stop putting off my entry into the world of repainting.

I've got my mock-up all ready, and I am buying the paints on Saturday.

I've decided to go a little.. off the wall if you will.

I am going to take the Classics Ultimate Battle Megs, and paint him up Prime style:



That was my original mock-up, and here's what I got so far:



I am almost done with him... I just gotta do some touch-ups and paint some joints that are exposed that I didn't think would be.

How about keeping him as Megatron, except a good one, kind of like this years botcon set.

Well, when I first saw your digibash, I was thinking something along the lines of "Rebirth Megatron/Reverse Convoy"... And Nekoman has a good idea as well, maybe something along those lines too? Or, if you wanted to create a backstory, maybe Prime's original body was destroyed somehow, and he was forced to take the (or a former) body of Megatron. -Kinda like Megatron did at the end of Beast Machines?

All-in-all, that digibash looks great, and I can't wait to see what you do with the figure!

That's quite cool. You've got a bit of improving ahead of you (who doesn't?) but for a first repaint it's really good! I like the colour scheme and it fits in really well with this years botcon figures. Clever use of Primes colours as well. Maybe you could put more silver drybrush on the gun.

I'm still debating weather or not to put the silver on his cannon... I kind of like just having it the flat black.

I kind of think I should have left the figure with just the flat black + the silver drybrush... but I don't think it looks bad with the clear red & blue over it. We'll see what I think after I get the second coat on it... lol

It actually looks pretty neat, I'm curious to know what the alt. mode looks like! I think it might need something on the turret though, since everything else looks like it's received paint, while it hasn't... Maybe just a gloss black?

Yeah, I've decided I'm going to give it a silver drybrush so it doesn't look so out-of-place.
