Well, when I say WIP....

I mean this is literally the first stage.
Just primed him white (although I really should have primed him grey, because he's now pink where the red is and white where the blue/metal is)

And then gave him a wash on all the parts i'm going to get looking like metal.

Opinions on it so far? I'm going to drybrush metal colour over the black but don't know whether to use acrylic or enamel.

Also, can't decide on what character to make him- Magnus or Nemesis?

I'm figuring that Nemesis would be a hell of a lot easier......

According to sources its very hard covering up all the red on this figure.

Constructive critisim, please! >_<

Drybrushing with enamel can be a pain.

If your going for that showroom look, you can use enamels for the main body parts, but I'd suggest acrylics for the drybrushed sections.

Lookin' good so far!

Your new project looks promising. I've seen a lot of Nemesis on this sight, maybe Magnus then?

Back, minus backpack (I've made it removable).

Oh, and opinions on this please-

Does this gun look grossly out-of-scale? I think it fits quite well....

The gun seems a little excessive. Once you get him finished up you'll have a better idea how it fits. Otherwise, seems to be moving along quite well.

Started on the body-
Used gloss black which turned out waayyy too glossy-

So started to weather and highlight edges. It looks kind of rough but I'm not finished with it yet- I'll be sanding edges and going over some other parts to make it look the paint look worn in places. I may even toy with the idea of some battle damage.

So heres what it looks like now:

I can't really decide if I like it better now or before I started weathering.
I don't know if its particularly apparent but I went over the body very lightly (perhaps a bit too lightly!) to give it a slight rusty look.
Its only apparent upon very close inspection, though.....>_<"

Opinions, anyone?

Didn't say it couldn't be done, I said it was a pain. Mostly in the cleanup.

The WIP is looking good so far!
