The Kitty Truck -Completed!

Well, on the way out the door to go to a friend's place, we stopped and checked the mail. I was thrilled to see an envelope from Reprolabels.com sitting there waiting for me! I ran back up to the apartment and grabbed my figure and proceeded to place the stickers onto it when we got to my buddy's...

This guy has been in the works since last summer, and it's nice to see him finished, although I might 'tweak' it a little bit... The Reprolables are great, but my only issues were:
1) The orange is a shade or three brighter than the paint I used on the figure, but it's not as noticeable as it looks like in most of these pictures! The first two pictures show that you can't even tell there's much of a color difference.

2) The sticker that was supposed to go around the grill wasn't wide enough to fit around the grill. -This one's all my fault, as I was the one who drew up the template to base the stickers off of... Whoops, no big deal though, as I just cut the sticker, and placed a bit of spare sticker sheet above the grill... I might go back and re-do this sticker, or possibly even take an X-Acto knife and remove all the orange bits off the stickers?

Here's his robot mode, front & back... Most of the stickers are recolored from Prime's original stickers, but it's rather obvious that the 'whiskers' are the modified bit, as well as the extra stickers on the outside of his forearms & around his headlights.

This is the whole reason for doing the repaint, it's truck mode... I'm really happy with how well the whiskers turned out, and have to give props to Jimmyjimjim & Dec0y13 again! If it weren't for the two of them (as well as everyone elses' comments & praise), I doubt this guy ever would have left the digibash stage... I figure this is my first successful repaint, and am very happy with how he looks! As I said, I may go back and touch up the orange sticker in the front of the cab, but I'm thrilled that he turned out as well as he did!

He turned out good indeed!

Now all you need to do is find some long smoke stacks for him to replaced those damn neutered ones. :P

 Thank you guys, I'm happy to see that there are others out there that like the design as well... As for the longer smokestacks, I've been thinking about it (and still have a bookmark for Agesthreeandup.com's page for the replacement stacks)...

I'm sure if anyone is interested in this set of Reprolabels, feel free to contact Dec0y13 or Delta. I'm sure they'd be able to modify the color to match your own ideas (change the orange to blue/green/red/etc...)

Thanks for the kind words Devastator! The last thing I expected to see when I opened up the forum was my thread back up at the top, so I figured I'd make a quick mention of a minor mod I did to the project. Well, since I don't want to remove any of the other images in the thread, so I'll just link to the 'final image' of the Kitty Truck.

As you can see, I trimmed all the orange from around the grill, leaving the only orange in between the 'whiskers', where the color matching of the orange is less noticeable. This guy is FINSIHED (sans a possible clear-coat), and I'm happy with him. My father was pretty impressed by it, as well as my brother... I still have to get pics down to my mom in Tennessee and my sis in Florida, but I'm sure they'll have the same reaction!

I'm happy that I went through with it all, and am proud of my work on this guy... I can't wait to find another project that calls out to me like this one did! =P~

Thanks for your opinions! I really had a blast working on him, and plan on doing more down the line. My next little piece will probably be my 2nd attempt at the Hot Wheels "Truckin' Transporter" trailer for Cybertron Armorhide (using the Reprolables set they made available a while back)... We'll see how that comes along!
