Ratchet, Brawl, and Starscream (my first repaints)

well, these guys were my first attempt. For some reason i believe robots look best in dark gray. i added black and silver accents with green eyes. my digital camera is a hand-me-down, so the pictures arent the highest quality, and for some reason, the flash makes the dark gray paint look light blue, so squint your eyes, and just imagine the bluish areas you see are really dark gray.

this is ratchet with an rpg, because deep down inside ratchet wants to kick ass

this is i think the best color scheme ive seen on starscream (just in my opinion)

And lastly we have deluxe brawl, which is just kind of my model of my soon-to-come leader class brawl in the same color scheme

so what do you guys think?

you painted them with the same colours ;D
ratchet looks really cool, like the plastic itself was this colour. it doesn't look painted.
the colours don't fit srascream tho...

They would be better if there was a little variety in there looks but you still did a good job way better than I could ever do

For being first repaints, these aren't too bad.

What you did good: The application itself is very smooth, and looks natural- like it came off the line looking like that. There's none of that blobby look some repaints get

What you did wrong: Your choice of colors (even with the given reason), and lack of detail really hurt these figures- and makes them look a li'l like knock-offs. Don't take it the wrong way, but it'd help to really look into learning how to do finer details- there's plenty of figure repainters around here that could help you out.

thanks for the link, now that im reading about it, i think what i meant to say was a "wash" not drybrush, lol

i think it might do a wash on SS since he has lots of crevices
