As soon as I bought him, I painted him up. I left the yellow out of the vehicle mode because it would have looked weird in robot mode. As for the robot mode I left some reds out because I really liked the robot mode they way it is.

That's very nice. How did you achieve that metallic finish?

I'm looking to do similar paint apps to bot mode. it is nice to see yours first to verify that it'll look awesome!

It was all drybrushing. And I did add more red to the arms and grey on the shoulders. I'll have to post an updated pic.

How did you get the top layer to look so smoothe? When I drybrush it makes it look rather battered, which I don't always want.

It starts out that way but then I just keep brushing until it looks right to me.

That is such a great improvement on this figure...I like what you did with the coloring on the head..IMO, just getting rid of all the baby blue would make a drastic difference, but the darker coloring with the drybrushing on the arms and legs really helps bring this figure to life. Also, with the arms painted like this, it helps take your eye away from the six nasty screws on his arms.
