Help Fixing flip up heads on any Transformer?

So I just received my Transformers collection Broadcast/Blaster and I decided to take him out of the box last night and Transform him. Everything looked great until I flipped the head up and noticed that the tension on the neck mechanism won't allow the head to come 100% in a flat position so it looks like Blaster's chin is slightly lifted. If I wasn't OCD and didn't spend $80 bucks on the toy I likely wouldn't care as its barely noticeable
I noticed the screws that held the torso together, thus holding the arms and neck in place were easy to get on the back of the toy. Before I open this bad boy up I was hoping someone would know if there is something I can do to fix this before operating on broadcast and if I do decide would I be able to do anything to get the neck to flip all the way up snug and flat.
Any help would make me smile.
