Predaking 2.0

Haha, haven't really been working on anything else outside of my custom figure projects with my couple of days off here, instead of my artwork.

So what's new? Well, I finally sat down and started figuring out some new leg connections and the modifications necessary to get them to work. I tried to go about this in the least obtrusive and easiest way. So I drilled into Tantrum and Headstrong's rear tank tread, whichever one was nearest the gestalt's centerline, and super glued in a 5mm styrene rod. It may look barbaric now, but it will be much cleaner and prettier once I get it smoothed out with epoxy putty and all. That same styrene rod plugs into the 5mm circular voids on the bottom of Razorclaw's feet, much like I had done with the Rhinox Minicon ports before. Razorclaw's heel spur, and the leg bots' respective limbs fold into one another neatly for support as well. It's surprisingly tight, and it allows for the combiner itself to have its own knee joints for a very wide range of motion.

Here's some pics:

Aside from some small tweaks to those leg combiners, I have some refining to do with the BFG attachment clip into Divebomb. It works as it is now, but I just want it to be more secure so that it won't fall out if you pose it upside down. And I have to figure out how to conceal the combined mode head; I'm thinking Razorclaw's very hollow upper body, somehow. We'll see.

Anywho, here are some looks at what Predaking looks like in his current status.

Heh, thanks guys. :) I may sell this guy when I get done, as I've learned a lot from trial and error over the course of this project and am confident I could build a cleaner, better version were I to make another attempt. He may very well be on Ebay next year. :)

Heh, I actually just started up my own Deviant Art account in October, and began migrating everything from my website (and then some) there. You can find it at the following URL: http://altitron.deviantart.com/

Also, hit my website up at: http://www.ThePimpSled.com

I'll now run off and take a look at the DA accounts you mentioned. :>
