My son was playing around with the transformations of his newly aquired animated soundwave and showed me a gorilla mode. It got me to think, how would this look in shades of purple with the tape details still on the side, an ape head and Laserbeak repainted to be Squawktalk? What do you think? Can we get a digibash? maybe with the mistransformed legs for the ape mode?

A head that springs to mind would be the one from Energon Demolisher. Size would be about right, the figure has always been mocked for being apelike in it's features and the angles and edges of the head are pretty soft which would gel pretty well with the Animated style. Any chance of a picture of the mistransformed Soundwave?

I have Energon Demolisher. So, a quick head change later and this is what I got:

It could work when fully painted.

took me a little bit to see how your son did it but its pretty simple. When transforming the legs, leave the windscreen in place, rotate the waist 180 degrees then flip the front end of the vehicle forward to make feet. It looks quite good. I should play with the transformations more.

My son thanks you for the positive comments. He wants to buy a second Soundwave just for this custom idea. My boys and I like to rethink the figures and see what we can com up with.

I LOVE THIS IDEA!!!!!! It looks so cool! I tried this out last night and took awhile also but it looks so cool!
I would love a purple Soundwave but a blue Lazerbeak well would be........AWESOME!
