Behold, Animated Grapple!

I got the Target yellow Ratchet today, under $11 on clearance. I"ve been on a bit of a Grapple kick lately, having gotten a G1, Energon Roadblock, who I'm calling Grapple, and looking into getting Movie Mudflap, the yellow repaint of the same-named figure, as yet another Grapple. I took a look at this yellow Ratchet's color and I decided to jump in, please see below (links included bec. the board cuts off the pics).

I removed the rear roof section, leaving the hinged moving part intact. I stole a bunch of parts from a couple small die-cast trucks and assembled them with this really kick-ass hot glue gun I just got. The claw is from a Dr. Octopus figure.

I'd like to give him a more Grapple-like head, but that doesn't bother me too much. I'm also going to remove his electromagnets and maybe give him a gun of some sort. Lastly, I might use a small Lego winch to make the claw extendable on a thin cord. Edit- also need to change the medical logo on his shoulder wings, any ideas?

Your thoughts please, thanks!

You should re-paint him so it's more of a custom.

I would love to re-paint some of my figs, but I can't paint my way out of a wet paper bag. I suck at it. I once painted a birdhouse for my mom and it was condemned by the Federal Housing Authority. I'm bad I tell ya!

Seriously, I like his paint scheme since it's yellow like G1 Grapple (well, he was more orange than yellow, but he sorta matches the Movie Mudflap crane-truck, which I wasnt to relabel as Grapple too). I do want to add the black and yellow diagonal stripes to his arms to hide them a bit and give him moreof a construction vehicle look.
