Picure taking question

ok...this is what ive done.

The problem im having is getting the other two colors to show up. It's a flip flop paint job. So of course not knowing **** about taking pics..i needed some help. Thanks. HoodSwipe is a WIP btw

the paint job looks awsome

and some picture taking tips:

1.try to take a pic with no flash- flash light will only make it flat and dull.
2.use your camera "macro" option -its the small flower icon.
3.use a flat solid color for a backgroung in order to show more details and to keep the viewer concentrated on the subject.
4.try to use tripod or if u dont have any ,try placing your hands on a chair or a table ,holding your camera in your hands indoor will produce blurry pics.
5. use a whote light source to iluminater your object - flurecent light is very good .

I like a bright, ambient light (ie NOT a spot light). This means there are less hard shadows. Outside on a bright but cloudy day or inside on a sunny day in a bright, south facing room is nice. Unless you're in the southern hemisphere, then it'd have to be north facing I suppose!

Thx Duders! I'll try these settings and tips...hopefully i can get a decent pic.
