Evening folks..

Just a couple of photos of something ive been working on lately.. a repainted Energon Inferno which when finished with be something along the lines of War Within Ironhide..

Ive retooled the back lower parts of the shoulders, sanding out a groove so that the head can fit inbetween the limbs in vehicle mode..

Only thing left to do tooling wise is to make some ears for him,.

I used Games Workshops 'Polished Blue' metallic paint on the inside of the window.. so from different angles or light sources it appears different shades of blue.. which would be pretty cool if I did it on purpose!

If you look carefully you can see the grooves cut into the lower part of the shoulders.. where the screws are.. this leaves plenty of space inbetween the limbs in vehicle mode to store the head, leaving it hidden instead of sitting on top as it was originally.

So far so good, I just hope I can get it finished in time to submit for the next Transtopia Newsletter along with my Nightbeat Custom!

I have finally finished my War Within styled Ironhide, so I thought I'd give you wonderful folks an update

You can see some work in progress shots and a couple of rough diagrams on how I got the head to fit in the Vehicle Mode here..., probably on the first or second page.

I'll try and take some more photos of the Robot Mode at some point, the batteries in my camera died on me -_-"

I'm quite happy with how he came out.. just a couple of tiny bits I've spotted in the photos that need cleaning up

So is this a new head? I am not familiar with the mold.

The head was originally the one that came with the body (Energon Inferno). All I've done is clipped the 'ears' off and added circular pieces of plastic make new ones.

Compare the images above with this

That was pretty clever. I would never have seen Ironhide in the original head.

I know the WIP was in the last Newsletter, but I added it to the submission thread (seeing as its finished) I hope thats ok.

yeah sorry about that and a few others. as well going through the submissions i go through the forums in case no one has submissed or forgot. at the timei didnt know what WIP meant, Thinking it was memo, not work in progress. sorry about that

No need to apologise mattyc, now you know and as the saying goes, 'knowing is half the battle!!'

I just wanted to be sure incase anyone thought it had been submitted twice or something.
