Articulation & Repaint For Barricade *UPDATED*

I really loved the part in the Movie when Barricade attacks Sam so I wanted a decent figure of him. Such a disappointment.

Fixes:
1) remove panels from arms so his hands are visible
2) build new (fully articulated) hands cos I had to destroy the originals
3) ball joint neck

I wanted to find a way to attach the rear car panels to his back/roof but I haven't come up with anything yet. In the meantime they can attach to the peg on his legs.

Plenty more pics of him here.

Please let me know what you think!

That's a pretty cool mod. You've made this figure go from sub-par to amazing  Great job all around!

what did you use for the fingers?
does the trunk of the car stay in place after you transform him into car mode. or is it just hanging on now?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'hanging on', but the rear panels don't need to be removed during transformation, although they do fall off cos I just have them stuck on one of the pegs that lock them in place in car mode. If I replace them with ball joints it'd be better but I don't think I'll bother. They're secure enough - they don't fall off if you pick him up and shake him a bit and stay in place during reposing.

The hands were made out of twisty-ties (you should have guessed that part if you've seen my recent posts!) and the finger ends were aumented with cuttings from an ice-cream tub. All hi-tech stuff!

yeah i should have used quotes... but you answered the question.
I like this approach for his hands. I might look into this for my premium.

thanks

On the right arm, remove the two screws on the forearm. Then cut around the wheel arch to remove the wheel/palm of hand from panel. If you slice in the right place the hand can be screwed back to the forearm with one screw. You'll prob need to shorten the screw post a little so it is held tight enough to not wobble around.
