Landmine + Wreckage = custom movie Swindle

Finally finished my movie Swindle.
made from a landmine body and a wreckage head.

I thought this DPV (desert patrol vehicle) had a close visual connection with G1 swindle. So I decided early on to do a repaint in that direction.
I believe this vehicle is black in real life but that couldn't stop me.

I'm glad he's done because there were a lot of small pieces to repaint here and although it looks like there aren't that much colors on him on first sight. I can assure you every part has a slightly different color just to increase reality and depth.

This repaint was quite time consuming because of the different washes and weathering I did on this. there was also some mild dry brushing involved and a lot of matte finish.

I started with a nice even airbrushed sand color brown, and after adding different brown washes and a thicker black wash the figure got a lot of color depth.

created some decals for this one as well. true Gijoe freaks should be able to figure out what the vehicle number referres to :-B

new color pallette:
brown, black, dark grey , dark brown, sand brown, sea grey, light grey

enjoy!

Excellent work! I love the "Life's a Bargain" slogan at the base of the windsheld! How'd you do it - print out decals, or use an airbrush and a template?

Looks so real! It really looks dirty and used (no rudeness intended!). Did you consider writing 'wash me' somewhere in bad handwriting?

Flix, I gotta say you do a damn good repaint and such. :D You managed to capture Swindle down par! It's as if he was done for the movie itself!

Now -that- is a Movieverse Swindle, not the silly car (... though, I could see Swindle with a car mode to run a chopshop) this certainly suits him!

LOVE the 'Life's a Bargain' detailing. It's SO Swindle-y.

Excellent work! The Landmine mold and Wreckage head sculpt work so well for a movie version Swindle.
