This is not at all my idea! Massdestruction did this a while back and a far better design for the canopy
http://seibertron.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=855&sid=But I'm so freakin' happy that I finally have a WHEELJACK that I don't stick in the back of the crowd on my shelf. The few changes I made to massdestructions are 80's authentic looking decals with the lancia and alitalia logos,BLACK tires, and silver rims.
I still want to get some g1 wings from transrepro and use the slots behind his shoulders to attach them to. I think this will break up the black behind his head, make him even more g1 looking and make me a happy fan boy.
hope you guys like.
and thanks to Massdestruction for the idea.

nice, if only Hasbro would bring tose Dinobots back to germany, I'm in despred need for them, since main are now more. But that Wheeljak would be a kikass figure for the classics line. Somehow most of the Energon Bots look like G1 carecters.

Hello all.
sorry been out of town. I'm happy that you guys checked it out. The swoop stand is made of a clear plastic pen, screw and 1/4 inch mdf board. cut a circle in the mdf board. drill a hole in the middle. take the pen apart and screw the hole thing together. swoop's landing gear fits in the pen I used and keeps him there so just check to make sure it fits in the pen you use. really easy and keeps him in dino mode with the rest.
Thanks

Sonray, you don't need a lot of money to kitbash, that's what knock-offs are for. They're much cheaper and are a good source of parts for kitbashers.

You do when you live in this rip off merchant country known as the UK.

Try throwing tea into the river. It worked for us.

Don't get the UK mad, last time they got mad, they unleashed the Spice Girls. We don't want to face the five plagues again...

The UK is expensive, though; bear in mind that despite the US/UK excahnge rate (I think a pound sterling is worth about a buck eighty at the mo), what you guys pay in dollars, we have to pay in pounds - that is, a ten buck Deluxe class fig costs us ten pounds, which works out almost twice as much.
As for knock-offs, I don't think I've seen any where I am since I moved three years ago...
[EDIT]
Oh, that's not originally why I was replying to the thread, though.
Love the 'bash, Wheel_Jack. Unfortunately, you're probably not going to be able to get the wings you want from Transrepro; I don't think they're trading anymore, and I know several people who have orders placed who haven't heard anything for at least a year.
There is, however, an alternative solution - you could make the wings using the spoiler. If you cut the spoiler in half, you can add posts to the shoulders to accomodate the holes in the ends. Then when he transforms to robot mode, the spoiler splits and swings round to form wings.

Hey, that's what I did originally. But it looks like he got some wings after all. He posted updated pics here:
