This little project has been ongoing for awhile now. He still needs a little work but he's close enough to take pictures of.. I decided to leave out the red, which is odd for a prime, but when I repaint figures I like to do something different. The blue is a mixture of Dark blue and silver done in layers from darker to lighter. Most of the frame is done in aluminum and dry brushed in layers. I preserved all of the light pipeing in the head and the front lights as well as the windsheild. I even painted up the little cowboy in the drivers seat :P I have alot of detail work to do but he's almost done.. Lemme know what you guys think..

I know I'm gonna catch flak for leavin out the red, but I think he looks puurdy :P
I'll just post link since the site cuts the pics in half :?

Well the painting is done.. All I have left to do is hit him with some clear coat. A bit of a radical change from the regular red and blue prime but something works with this guy..Lemme know what you guys think..
I would like to post the images but the site always cuts them in half..Even after resizing :???:

In robot mode he looks more like the protoform without the red. Why did you decide to abandone screen accuracy?

Honestly..I was mixing the blue and it stood out really well.. On a paper towel i was using to wipe my brushes off, I had a blot of silver and the same blue I was mixing and it look great together.. I tend to see repaints where someone will just add some silver or chrome, dry brush a few areas and then call it a repaint.. I like to go all out.. Whie it may look radical and unorthodox, I think it looks perdy :P I do like the protoform description though :APPLAUSE:

That's what i go for when i do repaints. I like to do something different and the color scheme struck me as awesome.. Bad part is that I suck as a photographer so I can't really give him proper justice.. Anyonehave any ideas for shooting a better pic? I got a little 6mp diggi cam from sony..
