I finished this quite a few weeks ago but have only just gotten around to posting the pictures, even though I took them weeks ago. In my opinion this is my best repaint so far - I am REALLY proud of this one so I hope you guys like it too! This is a selection of the photos, if you want to see more you can visit his page on my website.

That is some awesome battle damage there Myk.. Especially around the face where the paint is shaded , that looks awesome.. I got a leader brawl too but I'm struggling with how I want to do him.. Very nice work mate!!!

Nice touch there of the battle damage Brawl had obtained. I like it. And really, it works for him, especially considering he likely has some tough armor among the 'Cons.

That thing is a total master-work. The detail is so good, I would half expect him to come to life and start fighting. One heck of a job on that. WOW!

Wow! The battle scars really set this one apart. Paint job looks realistic too.

The battle damage / scar is amazing, what did you use to create those? Did you actually burn the part or what? :-?

There are three things that make this work for me.

The first is the figure design itself. I'm a G1 at heart but I also really like the live action film designs in general, though they're better on film than toys so far for the most part. Brawl/Devastator's design is just cool. The mechanical details helps ground the design in a believable way.

The second thing that makes this work is the superb paint job. The figure's mold is great but with basic paint application, like default factory paint apps, the figure looks like what it is: a toy. This paint job brings convincing texture to the form of the mold.

Last but not least are the details like the battle scars/damage. This brings realism(though I prefer to look at it as "believability" since the word "realism" brings the wrong kind of meaning I want to convey) to the figure that can only work well with the other two things. A good mold combined with great paint and attention to detail results in a great custom job.

Thanks so much for sharing photos of your work with us!

that is just hardcore! :APPLAUSE: this is what Hasbro should've done, a battle damage Brawl, not a Desert Brawl.

I recently found a Leader Deep Desert Brawl at a local store, which I plan on purchasing thanks to this inspiring custom work. I can't wait to come up with some ideas for a repaint!

Hi,I just wanted to say,I discovered Seibertron a while ago by accident just looking up pictures for my computer of Transformers. Over the last year or so I have come across the pictures posted of Transformers painted by fans. Being a fellow artist myself I find the creativity to be out of this world though sometimes the painting level of some people may not be great, the ideas people have are just amazing. I have seen several of your customs and I must say I am always blown away by your work.
Your painting is topnotch and the detail you put into your work for example, weapon burns on Brawl is genious!
Some day I will like to post pictures of my dioramas I have made inspired by the climatic battle from the 2007 movie and the forest battle from ROTF on Seibertron. The fist one does not have extensive custom painting but did win second place in a Hobby Town USA model contest.
I would love some feedback when they go up.

Er... I did the grey metallic parts nearly two years ago then did all the rest many months later. So sorry, I really can't remember. It was quite a while ago and certainly took a few days!

BTW, I no longer consider this my best work. That title now goes to Leader ROTFLMAO Megatron
