Custom Binaltech/Alternator Dead End head swap question
Posted: Sat Jul 18, 2009 12:01 amI just finished modifying Binaltech Dead End to Wildrider by placing a modified and painted Jazz head on the body of Dead End. I even added Wildrider's "ears" on the side of the head. It was my first mod.
Now I want to take the body of Binaltech Zoom(red Meister/Jazz) and turn that into Dead End. I was thinking that Binaltech/Alternator Grimlock's head would make a good head for Dead End. I can easily paint the visor purple and possibly whittle down the ears and smooth them out.
Question:
The head peg on Meister/Jazz/Zoom is too big for Grimlock's head to fit. What is the best approach? Do I modify the peg or do I modify the head? I have not done any modding before I made Wildrider's head. Do I make the hole in Grimlock's head bigger? If so, what do you recommend? I do have a basic dremmel kit that I haven't touched in 5 years. I did not know if that could be used or not.
Any suggestions from experienced kitbashers would be greatly appreciated!
