where can I buy plastic parts??

The best ball joints I've used are from Yellow Submarine, and are available through Hobby Link Japan. They're cheap, less than six dollars per pack depending on the size. Shipping from Japan takes a while though.
Then again, build enough Bandai kits (Gundams and the like) and you'll wind up with plenty of spares!
Hinges, not sure about them. Best I can say is try shipbuilding or dollhouse hinges.
