Okay, so here is the MP Grapple finally finished.. As I did start many projects before and didnt finish, I am on a mission to try to complete as many of them as I started.

Here is MP Grapple. Yes, this is transformable and shelled from an old 80's firetruck combined with bits and pieces from other vehicles that suited.

Apart from some final decal and painting the feet, this guy is done. I really was contemplating on doing a Universe or MP sized but MP just meant that much more to me.

And couldnt resist but put him next to my old MP Inferno. The pair is now happily enjoying each other's company. As you can see, a lot more details went into Grapple.

i dont mean it to be nasty but i just dont like it... i like the idea and stuff but vehicle mode looks abit...empty on the back and robot mode just makes him look awfully fat....i know grapple hasnt done much since the 80s and this shows (sorry bad joke)

is there anyway you could maybe get a slightly thinner vehicle/truck u can reshell? it just looks very large to me

GhostPrime, thank you for your post. I dont expect everyone to like the piece, as a custom is tailored to the customiser's POV of the character.

Although, I do accept your point of view and your comments are being looked at. A few people have said the back looks too empty so will see what else I can do.

I agree the back end looked empty to me. But it's not so much the emptiness as the fact that the crane portion should sit higher than the cab and it doesn't. Maybe it's because I work construction. But I let that go and I figured it's just something different. It does stand out though when you see the robot mode and see the bulky energon look of his cab on the figure. My first real criticism was that the head doesn't look anything like his G1 counterpart, but when I saw the pics of inferno next to him, it was clear to me that isn't the look you were going for.

What's the deal with the optimus looking figure in the shots next to him? The head seems familiar.. maybe armada super mode, or a cybertron prime? And the body looks like a gutted mp prime, but then when I saw the pics with the sports car feet it got really confusing from there.
