A Couple of Classics Shockwaves

Here are my Shockwaves. Shockwave 1.5 is a slight update of same Shockwave custom I did I while ago . All I did was added some detail to the treads. I bought this guy on Ebay with the arms already modified and with the tube attached. What I did do was changed the shoulders so that they matched and cut a little piece of the left arm to fit. I also sanded some rough parts. I then took the figure apart and sprayed the figure in Krylon flat black, drybrushed silver, aluminum, and then LOTS of purple.
With Shockwave 2.0, THIS is the Shockwave I wanted. This was totally inspired by Jin Saotome. I loved what he did with the Jetfire arms. I posted and asked so many questions and researched other customs before I finally did my own. I used a Universe Treadbolt figure for the arms (Now I have to find arms for poor ol' Treadbolt...oh WAIT! I did...). Sacrificed another Shockblast or Six Shot figure for the matching shoulder. Then I cut out the arms off of Treadbolt and modded them to fit the shoulders. Since I have no proper tools for that I had to improvise. I used the stove and a screw driver to melt holes on both arms!
Then did my usual thing. Flat black base coat, drybrush silver and aluminum, and then used two shades of purple and yellow for the eye. The purple came out slightly lighter than the 1.5 version.
I REALLY REALLY love this custom. Thanks for the inspiration Jin.
