So I had Megatron just sitting on my shelf and everytime I look at him, I despise him. Unfortunately for Megs, boredom set in yesterday and I looked at him one too many times. Out came the tool box and Megatron got a complete disassemble and I mean COMPLETE. Every piece of anything that could be considered kibble is now gone. What remains is a fully posable figure that actually looks like Megatron from the movie. Sure he doesn't transform anymore but leader Megs was such a disaster to transform anyway, I never bothered. I'd rather have it look good on my shelf than have it function since I never use that function anyway. And after a complete repaint, he'll probably look pretty sweet. I guess now we can call him a leader class robot replica. And I'm completely good with that. Enough rambling.

Question: Has anybody learned of a fool proof method to get these blasted pins out of the plastic without mauling the figure? There is a pin just below Megatron's ears. Its on the chest piece at the top. It enables that rectangle piece that Meg's head sits on to swivel forward when he transforms to jet mode. I need that piece out. Its stopping my whole project right now. I can't tap it out with anything. I've tried drilling it out, elongating the holes with the drill to loosen it and make it easier to tap. I've also tried warming it with a hair dryer to soften the plastic. Being a harder plastic that doesn't seem to be working either. Any thoughts here? I'm stuck until I can pull this pin.

FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD all you gotta do is tap it out with a small tool. the pin is slightly tapered and you tap the narrow end and it pushes out. check the kitbash help forum for a more expert advice
